The WHOLE system is flawed. I thought this process was there to iron out anomolies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As one who co-ordinates a VLE it's easy - my physical demands regularly include banging my head against a brick wall repeatedly - that has to be worth a 5

My job description was updated here 4 months ago. Today my boss queried whether the new profile reflected the new role as seemingly Capita are using data that is 18 months old. If you have been reevaluated more recent than this, I would flag it up. I'm recieving a new letter stating that I have been assigned to RT4S, not OS4A.

I'm still going to appeal, but I'm less worried now as at least it acknowledges that I manage staff.

The whole review process is a shambles no matter where you are in the country. I lost the will to live over mine.

That does sound like some intresting reading material you got there! I wonder how ICT managers can exist in two different families??

    The titles include:
    ICT Manager (PG293)
    Network Manager (PG5005)
    Schools Network Manager (PG4016)
    IT Services Manager

But get this, there is a title "Principlal specialist technician with management" with 60 points more than an ICT Manager!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't a bloody clue. But all I do know is that a person who is on £4,000 less than me at the moment has a grade of BS5S, which I'm assuming is higher???

Friday afternoon - so no-one to talk to about it - GREAT!!!!!
    Hi KWestos,

You have been given the same grade as my new one. Can I ask what your current contract is? Mine is SO1 if that's any use. I think it is point 29.

I'm currently on a P01, I know I'll be going down. I'm just in the middle of writing my appeal and I really do think we should be all on at least 6S. Because if you look at the equipment operated and essential skills is states "may use specialised software and network applications".!!!!!!!!! Now come on, MAY use! Does that mean we should be even higher????

That is ridiculous! I suppose all you can do is put in an appeal. They surely can't take more than a couple of thousand off anyone.
All of the non-teaching staff here have agreed to put in a blanket appeal and put all appeal forms in the same envelope and send it off at the end of next week. Not sure what good it will do.

I'm not so sure about that. The finance manager and I were talking about this as we're roughly the same grade. Comparing the outcomes in other areas we reckon we stood to loose 8 to 10k
Clearly we can't be sure of that but it's a rough calculation based on results we've seen.

What results have you seen? I thought they hadn't released any indication of salary whatsoever?

They haven't in Cumbria but there are payscales available in other areas with their job families. We were comparing our current positions to those (which can't be a miss and a mile out)

Which other areas? It would be interesting to see the documentation.

I have actually created an xl document like this. It looks like you need your post individually reviewed if you are responsible for that much. I've been allocated the same role. What NJC point are you currently on? I'm SO1, point 29. I can't afford to lose much...
