Hi
I have not had a letter yet.
Richard

Well - got my notice of termination of employment this morning
(I wonder - will they really re-employ me - or will they take the opportuniy to get rid of me)
Its a shame HR couldn't program up 2 form letters and send the the second one which says
"Dear Simon
we're sorry that you didn't volunteer for the change in condtions but we need to railroad this though and your just a minow in the way - so tough luck - your sacked !
But if your good, we'll let you come back to us (just like BT)
I know you must feel aggrieved that we've asked you to sign new terms and conditions at the same time as not telling you what your new grade is to be but we can't get everytihing right and you've lost out this time."
Simon
Hi
Has anyone heard when phase 2 is going to happen.
Richard
March time next year I heard.
..... ignore - im an idiot![]()

My line manager told me today that he'd been told it was 2 years away
saw this in a forwarded email
"In respect of those identified as being in Phase II which is generally those on Scale 6 or above it is planned that their Job Evaluation will not take place until the new School Support Staff Negotiating Body have considered the new pay and conditions for school support staff.
The latest SSSNB bulletin confirms that despite considerable progress within the SSSNB it is looking increasingly unlikely there will be an agreement on a pay and conditions framework that would require implementation during this year. It is envisaged that implementation would not take place before 2011 at the earliest."

HI
I have been told this morning from my line manager that phase 2 might not happen in Lancashire as the conservatives are trying to stop it This has not been confirmed and the school has been told to wait until a final decision is made by county.
Richard

Just a slight technical problem for those of us working in multiple schools.
If you need to claim overtime at another school you normally fill out a form that asks for the grade/scale point your claiming.
You need to put in a new Grade and not an old scale even though you haven't been re-graded as the computer/HR people don't like it if you use the old one.
e.g My was/is on Scale 4 Point 19 - I've been told to say I'm on Grade 5 Point 19 in future (they let me off with my summer hoilday claims but said they won't do it again!)
Simon
PS And make sure your using the new forms!
has anybody else got the letter from unison tell us that we are taking action short of a strike, the letter states a series of things we are not to do, i just wondered if any one else was following what the union had said. I have advised my line manager that i wont be doing the open evening, using my car to visit the primary schools we provide tech support to and only working my contracted hours.

@ticker
Just remember that the management can play the Industrial Dispute game as well.
Make sure you do NOTHING that could be construed as failure to meet your contract.
You may find that "discrentiony" tea breaks are withdrawn from you.
