Question to proxy or not proxy

lightspeed seems to work better without a proxy. App store currently doesnt work properly with our staff proxy. They're looking into it. My boss claims most schools have their own proxies. I'm not sure how true that is.

Your boss is correct, most schools would have a proxy

Our LEA uses Smoothwall and offers several options. Until last year, we went through a central proxy and had to contact the LEA with issues. We now have our own proxy in school, provided by the LEA, that I manage. There's also a kind of devolved option by which schools have limited control without actually having the hardware on their premises.
