CLEO NED Box AD Integration Probs
When we use the cleo ned box in AD integrated mode, we get issues where it ask users to enter their username and password everytime a webpage is opened. Has anyone else had issues like this and does someone know a workaround for it?
Domain is 2008r2, win 7 clients, IE8.
Also we have a problem where when you try and look at some log files they just show up as special characters. Can anyone recommend something to view the logs a bit easier?

What you need is a Squid log viewer - think most of the free ones seem to be linux only, maybe use an ubuntu VM.

Have you followed the instructions provided by CLEO for the integration? ie set up the special user with all the limited rights etc for use during the binding process?
I tried doing it with a normal account (even an admin account) but until I did all of this it wouldn't work, but works fine now.
Also, make sure that you are using the CLEO (or Lancs) NTP Servers so that it's all within the security time constraints etc ..

Think i've figured it out, i'm sure that the failures were related to clients using an IP address for proxy, going to have a look next week and see what happens

Ah yes, you do need to make sure that you use the auto config http://wwwcache.cleo.net.uk for your clients to make it all work smoothly, but double check the time settings etc, as that was a biggy as well as the incorrect user settings for the binding.
