Any reason it's that card in particular? If you're doubling up for SLI then fine, but for the price of a used 280 you could probably pick up a newer midrange card (a GTX560 for example) which will be just as fast but add extra shiny bits like HDMI and DirectX 11.

It was to SLI them. However I will have a scan and check them out.
Ideally, it's my CPU that could do with an upgrade (Duel core AMD @ 2.6GHz) , but it's the fastest my mobo can support so would mean that needed upgrading too, then the memory as well. Which may as well be a whole new system.![]()
A new GPU will get you more performance in games, but a new CPU will get you more performance everywhere.
Have a look at this article. It's a bit old, but not a huge amount has changed and it shows that even a modern budget dual core is quick enough for most of us.
There are also a number of issues with SLI depending what games you play and whether or not Nvidia has deemed your favourite game worthy of a profile in the drivers. Sometimes you get almost double the framerate with two cards, and sometimes you actually take a performance hit... Whacky stuff.

Thanks for the info. Interesting read.
Been having a look at Cyber Power System's website at some of their pre-build setups and they have some nice PC's there for a good price. Think I may have to look at selling mine and upgrade that way.![]()
You should really get an identical card with identical firmware otherwise you can have problems if using SLI
