    Old iMacs

We currently use iMacs in Music (The ones that had pretty colours on them - Blue or Orange). We only have 3 in Music.

We are looking to upgrade them to Mac OS X Leopard, Office 2011 for Mac and Sibelius (Think it's version 6 they are on). But I have been told that Sibelius' minimum quantity on the licenses is 5.

So we are looking for Cheap / Free iMacs that we can add to make it up to 5 (so 2 in total).

    Has anyone got any going?

We also need a iMac Orange Mouse - Does anyone know where we can get them from?!

    Thanks

Which version iMac do you mean now - bear in mind the system requirements.

Do you mean the iMac G3?

They wont run Leopard officially. They will probably struggle with that on. Snow Leopard wont run at all.

They are called Puck mice i think. they stopped making them long ago, eBay would be your best bet. Standard USB mice will work.

I am not sure what the spec is, is there a program I can run to find out?

Do they currently have an OS installed?

If so go to the Apple logo in the top left corner, then about this mac.

You could also use MacTracker to lookup the spec, but I would check System Profiler first (About This Mac > More Info).

Regarding the mouse, any USB mouse will work.

If it's an iMac G3 (CRT monitor with PC inside) you'll not get Leopard running properly, will take a lot of fiddling around - and will run like a dog if you manage it. They'll run Tiger though, if they have Firewire and DVD slot.
