    40+ NCOMPUTING L200 RJ45 MULTI-USER NETWORK COMPUTING TERMINALs

Hello everyone. Just want to see if these would be of any intrest to anyone.

Have a friend who has approx 40 - 50 of these complete with Power adaptors from an office clearance.

NComputing, NStation L200, Network Based, Access Terminal, Thin Client

Also keep a look out for Dell Powervault 110T coming soon.

Ooh... How much for each, or are they for sale as a job lot? Lots of 10, maybe? Does the L200's server-side software run okay on Linux? I have 6 Ubuntu workstations set up and awaiting an NComputing X550, we might be convinced to use the L200 instead.

agree'd, how much for the lot, or per unit? If price is reasonable may well put a bid in.

Ok, have read an explanation here...

    NComputing PCs

So, with one of them, you can have several users connected to 1 pc...like they're sat at their own pc...

....ok im getting there, bear with me...so how do these work over ethernet?

It's kind of like small scale Terminal services using a standard computer. This computer runs multiple windows sessions at the same time and outputs via the little devices. All of the network communication is handled normaly by the primary computer. Looks like the other desktops are shared out via remote desktops and the single user restriction mysteriously tampered with on the host windows instance.

    Hi guys

Right my friend has said he looking for £20.00 per unit and will let them go in bundles of 10 for £150.00 or the lot which is approx 45-50 for £500.00

To to give you some background these were from the clearance of some council offices when said council moved. These are believed to be all fully working ( other items such as laptops and PC that were also included were in full working order) but I have not be able to test them personally.

    Let me know your thoughts.

NComputing's equipment doesn't use RDP, it uses its own protocol. Your server machine needs to be licensed for Windows Server and TS CALs but you don't need to actually set Windows up as a TS server.

Well there is one availablle, but I am curretnly unable to test it. Looks like it should but I have a rep to protect and don't want to sell it on to someone here and find out its duff.
