19th February 2009, 11:51 PM #2 You can pick a basic Nokia up for about £15 now. I got one for a relative at Christmas. Obviously it's as basic as basic gets but if you're not wanting to Bluetooth music or email on the move then it'll fine.

My uncle got one from WHsmith.
Even better offer was from the orange shop, if you purchased £20 credit the phone is free. Its ok if your already on orange just put it on your old number.

20th February 2009, 10:19 AM #8 D'oh too late but doesn't your school have lost property? We have a drawer full of unclaimed lost mobile phones. You could have borrowed an unlocked one and stuck your sim card in it?

20th February 2009, 10:32 AM #9 that would have been an idea. knowing this place theres probably iphones and everything in there too heh

20th February 2009, 10:35 AM #10 You're probably right. We've got a Nokia N95 sitting in the drawer - looks brand new - how do you lose something that expensive and not claim it? If my kid lost their phone I'd be in touch with the school asap to see if it had been handed in.

20th February 2009, 07:36 PM #11 A Y7 kid gave me his old phone because he said I looked so sad with my Nokia 3310. Prblem is, I would prefer to go back to the 3310 but don't want to hurt his feelings.

20th February 2009, 07:42 PM #12 I'll buy the N95 of you

20th February 2009, 08:11 PM #13 I think we've got to keep it for 6 months haven't we in case they claim it?

20th February 2009, 08:24 PM #14 I got one of those SEJ132's from CPW - nice as they're unlocked, charge via miniUSB and use a standard Jack, although only have a radio. If only more expensive phones had that!
Main gripe is battery life, although reviews rate it highly at 200 odd hours - which equates to just under a week, it seems you're charging it all the time. The Nokia and other SE for around £20 do 530 odd hours so will go for one of those next time.
