Well i have a Windows Webserver. I have it hosted at a datacenter in Lancs. I know the owner and get it on a 40 meg line for next to nothing. I will stick the new server in there and take the old one and try linux on that.

Virtualise the server and have both.

Its not an option, the windows server will be in a remote location. It needs an upgrade anyway.

    Thanks

    So?

We have a Xen server (Centos Base) in a DC hosting several virtual servers including Server 2003, XP, Linux etc etc.

Just makes sense to me if you have space for 1 but want 2, virtualise.

Well i will be play with linux and i want it physically at my house. The current box is starting to struggle with Windows never mind Windows and linux. As i am not yet confident with linux i would have to use a Windows host.

Because my current machine is begging to struggle i need a new one and i might as well make use of the old one
