I've just started getting into river kayaking. Nothing extreme, just a gentle cruise down rivers and canals in the North West.
If anyone has a kayak or a recommendation for a kayak suitable for a 16 stone 6 foot 4 lunk I'd be most greatful!
I'm ideally looking for something second hand and I'm not too bothered about the condition, so long as it floats!

23rd July 2008, 03:46 PM #3 My father - also 6'4" used a Stypyak for years.
They're built by a dutch man - Pieter van Stypdonk (really!) of similar proportions. I have no idea if they're still around. As I stopped growing at 5'11", I always managed to fit into more convential boats for slalom!
The Pyranha general purpose boats boats have always been pretty roomy and could be worth a try.

They are pretty widely available
