Parts based warranty, From quick ebuyer quote and not built.
We are waiting on quotes from actual suppliers to include three year warranty and built.
This shouldnt add too much to the cost we hope.

We (used to) pay the council around £2500 for x days support, so £8000 for an install seems rediculas.
We got them in to move us up to 2003 from 2000. Watched them do one server, realised how stupidly easy it was and did the rest of the servers myself.
Maybe build up a network on a test rig + client. Then once its complete and tested export all the policies etc and build the real deal yourself.
I hadnt even seen a server when i started here never mind touched one, now i wouldnt even dream of having someone in to install a server!

My advice is to run as far away as possible from these guys that quoted you and while running, make sure you avoid both RM and Viglen.
