Hi all,
We've been buying our laptops from Evesham lately and used to get 3 years parts and labour tech support from then (usually one year with laptops), but they've recently dropped the business/local govt arm of the business and only now offer 1 year tech support inclusive and they seem a lot more expensive (presumably because we're being offered home laptops rather than business ones).
Does anyone know any other companies that sell laptops that come with 3 years warranty as standard? Saves a lot of hassle further down the line, then we usually replace them after 3 years... all adding up to making my life a lot easier, which is why we're all here, right??
Cheers.

We use Dell - always found the support to be good when needed. Stone are also pretty good and offer up to 4 years on site warranty.

23rd January 2008, 02:51 PM #6 XMA for Toshiba laptops with 3 Year warranty at £30.
Find Tech support at XMA excellent.

23rd January 2008, 02:53 PM #7 We have been paying about £400ish. I've got a few prices for laptops with 3 year warranty upgrade but I was just wondering if anyone knows anywhere that does it with 3 years as standard.
I find it odd that most companies that supply desktops to schools do 3 years as standard but none seem to do the same for laptops.

23rd January 2008, 03:23 PM #8 we have bought some units from stone computers. Warranty includes bringing a spare laptop, if they cannot repair your unit whilst onsite, they loan you the spare unit they fix your laptop and return it.
3 year warranty NBD
We also use XMA, toshiba may be doing the cashback offer, we claimed over £1,000 cashback.

23rd January 2008, 06:44 PM #12 Im sure Stone offer 3 year warrantys on all their computers / laptops as standard.
Never used a stone laptop before so not sure if its a rebrand etc. Also I could just be making it up and have been sucked into a sales pitch also.
Probably best to check their website for further info.

23rd January 2008, 07:21 PM #13 3 years warranty
Dell here as well, really have been brilliant. Can't say the same for fujitsu-siemens laptops that we had as part of the damn LFT scheme, the support centre takes ages to answer and it takes good few weeks before we get it back. It does have 3 years collect and return service though, we have now (since last year) moved to buying Dell hardware on servers, PCs, Laptops etc. Makes it easier as all their stuff come with 3 years NBD warranty is great. I'm tempted to go for their accidental warranty as well, anyone using this?
Ash.

23rd January 2008, 08:02 PM #14 Toshiba from Misco. Most of the 3 year warranties cost £30 but I think it's gone up a bit. Bought an HP2600n today for £133 + £56 for 3 years on-site 1 day response maintenance contract. It was for an ICT suite but I'm going to swap it with the one in the office because it is more painful if theirs goes down.
