BSF and VLE/MLE/Web developers

Not sure how many dedicated VLE/MLE or Web developers are out there in schools but what happens with these people and BSF?

Are they going to be transfered? I know i saw in a post that managing VLE/MLE was part of the BSF proposal.

The proposal must include a VLE, but that doesn't stop the school employing their own staff to do their own VLE solution. They do at our school and they aren't affected by BSF other than they will have to rely on the new provider for support.

I though newcastle was the only place in the UK to win an LEA inhouse ICT bid ? is this wrong? how is does it work?

The bid doesn't have to include a learning platform unless specified by the LEP. It is expected that it *will* be provided due to the cost benefits ... but it doesn't even have to be the LP of the contract winner ...
