Whilst I can hear the bl**dy diggers outside my office then I know we're still going ahead!
No information available on exactly what schools are happening. Its resorted to MPs asking about each schools in their areas.
It seems financial close = BSF still happening.
Why happens if new conservative academy status has also been applied for? (if BSF goes ahead)
EDIT: BSF stopped.

Just about to post that list we are on the scrapped list.
We are also on the scrapped list. Still not sure if it's a good or a bad thing for us, i.e it may have been nice to work for an "IT" company with a clear career progression path and of course, the investment in equipment is gone. However for the time being at least, it's nice that a lot of the uncertainty and waiting has gone and keeping our independence is a big win.

Anyone know the short code for RM's stock prices? I want to watch them freefall on my Iphone in the morning

Im rather confused now... our school was has been stopped according to the list, but 2 sample schools are still awaiting discussion.. we were due to tuped in auguest this year now that this has happened, if the samples schools go ahead are they expecting us to still tuped over or remain independent... anyone know..
I'm kinda hoping that with only a few schools in the city under discussion, the rest canceled that RM will decide not to go ahead due to making a loss on the service than a profit. We can live in hope right?...
Going by what has been announced so far, I'd guess that most areas where bsf has been "scrapped" or affected will merely get the centrally managed ICT - the "ICT only" option.
In a few years time money will, more than likely, become available to re-build the worst schools on a school-by-school basis, with the rest getting re-models/re-painting where necessary.
So, as to where it leaves the IT techies: either stuck with the MSP they have (or will be TUPEd over to in some form or other) or looking for jobs out of the public sector
My school is listed as under discussion, we are do to move to an academy in Sept! We are to far in now for us to be stopped surely?
I'm a little unsure how your working that out, the managed ICT part was a massive chunk of the funding by itself. It wouldn't make sense to say that the buildings are costing too much whist continuing with the IT.Going by what has been announced so far, I'd guess that most areas where bsf has been "scrapped" or affected will merely get the centrally managed ICT - the "ICT only" option.
I was told last week to kiss goodbye to the managed IT service, hooray, I was not in favour of it anyway, but there again schools need to be rebuilt so I'm a little dismayed at the severity of the cuts.
possibly, but the ict can be scaled back and still only be a fraction of the total cost - the government can then say that they may not be providing the new buildings, but they are providing the "resources"
This will, more than likely, be the route down which areas that have committed to bsf, but not completed building/re-modelling.
Bear in mind, this is just my opinion - I'm actually told nothing, so I'm just as much in the dark as everyone else
