wow, music can colaborate with ICT. Innovation.
'The students can now access their files from any computer in school' - what the hell sort of system did they have before!!

It's Leeds man what do you expect?![]()

can't wait to be promoted to a 'team leader'.![]()
ahah they love going on about 'this electronic space where they can store work' FROM HOME!!! IMAGINE!!!
@cybernerd - Me 2 meeeee 22222 =] gd times eh?
Tell you what - instead of giving me an ICT budget of £30k a year (or £40k if I am really lucky) give me £1.5 million for the next three years, and then £100k a year from then on - and I'll give you ICT like that, too! In fact, it'll be even better, as me and my team will be on site, integrated with the school and able to provide support within seconds rather than minutes, and I'll make sure every penny of the millions goes as far as humanly possible, much much further infact than your managed service, as I will have no shareholders to answer to, I'll have no company agenda to adhere to, I'll have no requirement to fund the fat cat's Jaguars and Learjets - my one and only agenda will be the School, it's teachers, and it's pupils.
It would be nice to become an “ICT Professional” under BSF though. Unfortunately Wales doesn’t get BSF yet – so I guess I’ll have to remain…..err… well unprofessional for a while longer I suppose?

Sorry but what a load of rubbish
I hate ICT Managed Services!
The guy who said he was a Systems Manager didnt look like he had a clue anyway.
Im bitter sorry
WOW this looks amazing...i don't know if i could cope with all the fantastic things mentioned...
Helpdesk, whoo!
On-site staff within the school, ooooo!
Faults fixed as soon as possible, wooooooow!
Teachers can just worry about teaching instead of fiddling with leads and faults..
Possible promotion to a Team Leader, thud
Must remember not to listen to the brainwashing jingle on video, i must resist.
What a complete load of.
Mmm, this video does not give any credit whatsoever to the thousands of IT Support Staff within the education sector who are working their backsides off and are doing a great job against all the odds.
got to admit it really motivated me for the day when i had it arrive in my inbox at 8:30 this morning!
wish i worked in leeds...NOT! how the person who sent this around (BTW is was the BSF Programme Director for Coventry) though that it would be a benefit is beyond me!
i have to wonder what sort of IT Support they had before the managed service! surely it was...well nothing if they are letting teachers of all people delve into machines!
i love this bit
ROFL i cant belive this. i mean come on why would you say that. to me that means if you cant fix it or understand how to then dont be a technican. and plus it makes you look stupidIf their is a urgent problem we will litraly run stright to it and if we cant fix then they will get some one who can

The video sounds amazing... it just won't play for me![]()
haha. That isn't supposed to happen!!! They're supposed to know you had a problem playing the video even before you tried loading it.....and they could thus have preempted the malfunction you experienced.
I didn't fare much better, i'm none the wiser except do you reckon the 'team leader' chap can save me money on my gas and electricity bill ?

What is it going on about? When is it going to mention the benefits of BSF to existing ICT in schools?
Its just talking about things that most schools have in place already with buzz words.
