I read this with interest in my paper this morning.

So companies may be allowed to run schools for a profit.... but the government doesn't want independent schools which are 'not for profit' charities to run schools

It doesn't add up in my mind

It does if you remember that it's the bosses of those profit-making companies who fill the election coffers...
