It's a little unclear where this is coming from. I heard it from Alan Day as Kent wanting this as part of the contract. I raised it with Northgate in the pre-tuping meetings and was told that they were not aware of this requirement. It has since been raised by our new line manager(s) and I've pointed this discrepancy out to them, and pointed out that tupe protects our working hours. I'm waiting to hear back.

As a general update I'm afraid I'll have to say "no comment". Now that I'm employed by Northgate I don't feel comfortable commenting in an open forum on how things are going either in relation to them as my employer, or as a supplier to the school.

Sounds like things have taken a turn for the worse already.

Sorry to hear that Deaks, I have to wonder what excessive really means. Is this the caring side of Northgate?

    Raises a couple of questions:

    1) KCN must be complict in providing Northgate with your usage logs.
    2) If TUPE moves your conditions of employment over, surely you should be subject to the same disciplinary procedures as KCC employees. Summary dismissal seems a little OTT.

We have full access to our websense box, all it would take is for NG to be given the same... KCN wouldnt have to be involved.

me to. Sounds to me like Northgate had to many techs Tupe over, so decided to sack some by stretching one of their existing policies.
