    BSF In Hertfordshire

Can anyone confirm/does anyone know who has been successful in the bidding for supplying network support under the BSF banner in Hertfordshire, or even if a successful bidder has been chosen. Failing that does anyone know who is in the running? I can't seem to find out anything here.

There should be an 'audit-trail' of where the process has got to in Hertfordshire. Under the ground rules laid out by Partnership for Schools there are a number of pre-determined legal and commercial steps that must be followed to select a preferred bidder; The LA must publish its requirements, request interested parties, produce a 'long' and 'short' list at each stage of the bidding process until a final supplier is selected. You will find a lot of this information is in the public domain. Try a trawl of the WWW. You should be able to find out how far they have got. Be assured when a preferred bidder is decided it will be very public! There are quite a number of consortia out there bidding all over the UK, delving into who is behind them is quite revealing too.

My LA has a website with the timeline laid out; I know for example they have a shortlist of three potential consortia lined up as bidders......

For starters, have a look at http://www.hertsdirect.org/scholearn/bsf/
