MPs warn over £45bn schools plan
The government should take stock of plans to rebuild England's secondary schools before rushing into a series of costly mistakes, MPs have warned.
The Commons Education Committee says there are risks linked to the method chosen to fund half the £45bn rebuild - the private finance initiative (PFI).
Three PFI schools are closing because of a lack of pupils, but councils are still contracted to pay the bills.
The government said it had learnt lessons and was improving procurement.

Hi grommit just reading report if you forget the bbc over sensualised reporting of it. The report is quite interesting but even with report there is no hint of saying scrap bsf.
But as we have said all along allow la to have a more custom approach to the scheme.
Tony is on hols this week but next week going to discuss with people. How we can use report to least get alt view to tuping people across etc and to combat some of peoples fears.
What is true of whole thing is what bsf is know and what it was under pathfinder scheme are two different things..
Maybe you could come and rock boat at RM meeting as would like to see you there...

Can you give us an example? I know that it is being viewed as a cash cow by many IT providers.
