Excuse me? 'Your' something means it belongs to you.Originally Posted by GrumbleDook

"If you are looking for some police..." is correct, and and IS the case in his sentence.
I was taught the way kearton is saying it is. I have Bs in GCSE English Lang and Lit but that's about the extent of my skills.
thank you
I finally found the "Education UK island" you can get to it ('teleport') through this link: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Education%20UK/229/38/21/
Not that much there yet to be honest but there is a 'sandbox' to practice in. Might be a good location for a meet up?
I'm sure there is questionable use of punctuation and grammer in this post but never mind! Probably some spelling mistakes too![]()
Apologies for going off-topic in your thread, Robunta!
Just noticed. Gumbledook and I are *both* guilty of lack of clarity. Callum used 'your' twice in his original post. I was referring to the former, and it's obvious now that GD was referring to the latter.
NORMAL TRANSMISSION RESUMED....![]()

FFS - the lads dyslexic - and so are a lot of other posters here - so stop the pointing out of poor grammar, punctuation and spelling in posts !!!!!!!
How many more incidents of insulting people's disablities do we need to before we all stop doing it.![]()

There was a speaker at LUG Radio Live who words at second life.
His first words of his talk were "no jokes about flying penises please."
(how's that for a spectacular attempt at getting the topic back on track)

As you said -back to topic :-)
Well, I just went to the Education UK place - and decided to talk pluck up the courage to talk to someone for the 1st time - they said they were French and tried to sell me some clothes![]()

Ahem - to get back to the education(I know, miserable spoilsport that I am
) I found some blogs about the NAACE use of Second Life.
Gareth Davies' blog (Vice Chair of NAACE Exec) http://advisorymatters.naaceblogs.org/
and a blog about what they are doing in SL http://2ndlife07.naaceblogs.org/
None of my computer kit is up to handling SL, but I'd love to try it.
