"You're" is a contraction of "you are", which is not the case in Callum's original sentence.

Excuse me? 'Your' something means it belongs to you.
"If your looking for some police..." is NOT correct.
"If you are looking for some police..." is correct, and and IS the case in his sentence.

I was taught the way kearton is saying it is. I have Bs in GCSE English Lang and Lit but that's about the extent of my skills.

Not that much there yet to be honest but there is a 'sandbox' to practice in. Might be a good location for a meet up?

Just noticed. Gumbledook and I are *both* guilty of lack of clarity. Callum used 'your' twice in his original post. I was referring to the former, and it's obvious now that GD was referring to the latter.

There was a speaker at LUG Radio Live who words at second life.

His first words of his talk were "no jokes about flying penises please."

Well, I just went to the Education UK place - and decided to talk pluck up the courage to talk to someone for the 1st time - they said they were French and tried to sell me some clothes

I am looking into the land grants at the moment ... but that might be a summer project for a few members who think they may be on there fairly often.
