Domain Name Change
Just wondering the impact of changing our domain name (currently a .sch.uk).
We run MS Exchange 2007.
If we were to register a new domain (or speak with nominet), I'm guessing MS Exchange could still run under the old domain name & just forward mail to the new domain. Could this be hosted on the same server or would it require a different server?
Open to thoughts & suggestions!
Andy
P.S. Also after a domain registrar who can handle .sch.uk domains where I'm able to control the DNS online?

22nd February 2011, 09:47 AM #2 We registered a .org domain for our school, went though 123-reg. Got county to allow the SMTP traffic through their gateways and routed down to our exchange server. Just pointed the MX records of the domain at the county IP/A-Rec and set exchange to have another domain in it's allow list.
You can now email us @crickhs.org and @crickhowell-hs.powys.sch.uk. the .org is a bit easier to say over the phone
