    Kettle and a toaster...

Seriously, decent tools. Type depending on what you do. Networking, fixing stuff to walls, taking PCs apart, whatever. Good tools always make the job easier.

I think your first idea is best!

As soon as it gets to this time of year, and all the staff and catering staff are on "part-time" hours....you soon learn the value of a kettle and toaster!!!

Translucent stackable storage boxes (instead of opaque cardboard boxes stacked willy-nilly)
Decent label printer (plus power adaptor)
    Safari Bookshelf subscription?
    Technet subs (if not already)
Dept outing to Shark Bay? S'good diving.
