    Staff Survey

    We are about to start a survey with the staff next year to survey the IT Support department. I was wondering has anyone done this and if so what type of questions have you asked?

    lol

    On serious note one of things next year is we are making some major changes and want to baseline peoples view and experience of the IT support and then after the changes see if it has improved.

    @CyberNerd:

    Just thought that is what Russ was looking for?

    No we don't e-mail these things around to each other, this is in a different format so Russ could look at and assimilate if needed just to give him an indication of what kind of questions he should be asking.

    I will of course remove it if that is what is required.

    no. I just meant that in the age of VLE's and web technology it was odd to see a questionnaire in such a historic and unwieldy format

    @CyberNerd:

    I am ancient as it states on my signature.

    Don't take that as meaning that I am behind the times as looking at it from a different perspective it seems I am far ahead of most in this scenario as other people have only just thought about this and we have been doing this since 2004, so in Russ's case we are 5 years ahead.

    BECTA, I thought, would have had all this covered long ago.

    It is after all a service industry we deal in so it is essential to baseline your end-users first. Then and only then can you derive change through proper change management techniques.

    I find second guessing an old and ancient technique no matter what format it is in.

    Has nobody told you that second-guessing is old hat? I'm onto third-guessing

    @Bossman you are well ahead - this sort of info is vital for ICTmark etc, it was just constructive criticism re webbased technology. I'm a bit busy and maybe my post didn't come across in the lighthearted way it was intended.
