When I get my underground server room I am going to have to have one of these under every desk. As you well know every supervillan and/or mad scientists plans go so much smoother with a supercomputer.
Now they come in the handy, portable and personal mini tower form factor.
With 960 cores, 4 teraflops of processing power and the ability to be plugged into a standard power point this unassuming little box should speed the dreams of every supervillan into reality.
NVIDIA Tesla Personal Supercomputer
Or they could use it for regular science and stuff, but who would do that![]()

Bet that won't be running Vista!

You could if you wanted. The processing is done by additional GPGPU cards that run the CUDA language, you can run it on XP, Vista, Linux and Mac OS - any platform that the CUDA framework runs upon.
You are limited by the number of PCIe 16x slots on your MB so short of building your own Mac with more slots (and fighting with Apples staff of ravid lawyer-zombie hybrids) you would be after a PC for the most kick.
And anyhow, what says 'Doom' better than the Vista logo - no matter what it is actually like.

Personally, I would have to have Cray Inc., The Supercomputer Company - Products - CX1 - nothing says power more than Cray!
Am I sad for budgeting £15k-20k from my future lottery win towards one of these machines... Just so I can run Football Manager with every league loaded at a good speed?
