What kind of thing have you got in mind Russ?

Just notice that says out of order but looks better than white printed sheet with words out of order on it.
Maybe some picture related to broken computers.
Idea is can't print few of them and get them laminated etc
Idea is that looks slightly more professional than white piece of paper.

You could add an air of danger to the signs by having a road sign type stick figure being electricuted by one (or more) of the broken components on the poster![]()

I'll knock something up in a bit Russ. Want an edugeek logo on them too?![]()
Here is ours. Pretty basic but serves the purpose. Also have a whole room poster and whole network poster (same poster, different wording.)

Would a wiki section be appropriate for this sort of thing?

@sysman
What would be useful is to have an area on poster so we can add in schools logo or something to it as well.
I am up for this, will have a play around in photoshop and post my efforts!

This ours - in Word 2003 for what it's worth

This the kind of thing? Done this mockup before I saw your previous post Russ. I can make a space for school logo etc. Just need to know if the design is ok.
I can create a layered PSD of these in A4 with 1 A5 size and 2 A6 sizes. As always everyhting can be changed![]()

pretty cool, but when i saw you're mockups for some reason i just imagined that episode in 'the office' where gareth 'investigates' and he's made up all those signs...
'silence, investigation in process', 'gareth keenan investigates' etc. etc.
while creating an out-of-order sign doesn't have the same comedy value - you could quite easily have many combinations some totally unnecessary, as follows with my suggestions;
warning, do not touch.
stop, maintenance in progress
warning, maintenance in process.
halt, this computer is out of order.
do not use, undergoing maintenance.
faulty, computer under investigation...
i personally like the idea of a 'wet paint' sign. That'll confuse the hell out of them.

You got it sysman...
They are good
Russ

When asked by both a student and a member of staff as to why there was a 'Wet Paint' sign next to some computers (the caretaker had painted the wall behind the computers as a noticeboard had been taken down) I told them that it was because we had had to paint the insides of the computer cases with a special paint to stop all the harmful electromagnetic and radiation rays from leaking out. They believed it!
