    drifting off topic as usual...

but does anyone else think russdev's avatar makes him look like he should be featured in that 'serial killer or computer programmer' online game.

Whilst I like those signs I find that the majority of workstations I diagnose as being faulty / under maintenance are whilst I'm out and about - and notice it coincidentally.

Therefore the usual out of order sign for me is a A4 page folded in 2 and placed underneath a monitor with the words "Out of Order" written on it - nothing special but saves me carrying signs or relying on them being left in designated areas.

I really must try the wet paint sign idea though!

I can well believe it tech guy. A comical teacher decided to send a student down for a wire mesh watering can, some tarten paint and a long stand. I sent them back asking for some fallopian tubes. That confused the hell outta them!

    They're good Sysman.
Do you use an image set to create those or draw them up yourself?

Here's an 'out of order' sign I use if I'm having an 'off' day.

Warning - content may offend. So it's over here...

    Talking

I used to work for the BBC in OB Audio Support. We used to mark up the faulty mics with "Frequent Use Caused Technical Difficultys".

    The Acronym was F.U.C.T.D....!
