AUP

In the Appendix there are a few documents that seem a little out of place.

For me it was the SyOps material. Most schools will happily call it an AUP, ISPs will have it as part of T&Cs ... but some of us may recognise the term SyOps.

Becta admit that AUP is better so that is one change ... but to use this as a basis of AUPs for a variety of different institutes will be hard. I know we have sections on the wiki and have discussed AUPs before but please feel free to comment.

Err.. i don't see the relevence this has to schools.. the only section that seems to fit is the last series of bullet points.
The rest is conpletely irrelevent - especially the clear desk & clear screen policy.

This would only really be suitable for the staff - not the pupils.

I think BECTA should be looking towards AUP's not SyOps - this'll confuse everyone!

Why is it that everything has to be spelt out as what not to do, this will only incite the students to try and do it.

Also AUP is better as parents and Staff will be confused.
