So Far So Good
Well installation went without a hitch and I now have a lovely J1.5 site with the included demo content. Much better then when I tried to install the beta a few months back and got nothing but errors.
Have managed to find where everything is. Seems neat and tidy in the backend admin now. Took me a while to find the global settings which are now found by navigating to:
Content > Article Manager > Parameters.
First port of call was to edit the now found Global Configuration settings and remove the Author Name, Created Date, Icons etc from the articles. So changed the required tick boxes and saved the settings, but made no difference. The reason for this is that the demo content provided during the install has these setting also set under the Home item of the Main Menu. So you have to edit the Parameters – Component settings by navigating to:
Menus > Main Menu > Home > Parameters – Component
In my case I have set them all to global.
Well now to the task of creating sections, categories, menus and content items, sorry Articles.
