It definitely appears to be a load issue. Late last night and early this morning, everything appeared to be working OK, but come 9am problems started up again. The irony is that the old firewall clearly managed thousands of connections better, as this has never happened before.
If we have a repeat tomorrow morning (Wednesday), then I must insist Link2ICT please restore the tried and tested old firewall. This should be part of the contingency plan as we don't want to start 2014 like this now do we!

"Further analysis and updates from our 3rd party provider show the firewall and network performance remains stable this afternoon. We are hopeful that the updates will resolve the issue however, as it is difficult to simulate the initial morning 'start up' traffic that we believe triggers the problem, we will continue to closely monitor until we are satisfied that normal service has resumed. Please accept our apologies."
It's gonna be the same tomorrow..
Such a shame cus I don't have much beef with them, but I wonder if that's cus I hardly ring them lol!

Just had our Head and Deputy asking us to look at alternatives, first time they have asked us to do it.
Would it be worth people joining together to buy something and create an independent link?

God give me strength.... how hard is it to put back what was already working?
Phoning around this morning and looking at LINKS SLA we have to give 3mths notice but no mention of what we can do if they fail at their end.
Incompetent and embarrassing, any body taking bets on Thursday being the same...?

I was trying to move away from them this April but unfortunately because we still have our MIS support, HR portal and Payroll with them there was too many issues to get over before my deadline in November.
