If you do not mind travelling by tube you can stay pretty much anywhere in London.

Rather than going to Olympia it can be better to get off at High St Kensington tube then get a bus the last half mile or so along Kensington High Street.

Although it is quicker to walk than try and take any kind of motorised transport down Kensington high street!

Best Western around Earls court also v.good, forget the name though.
    Millenium near Gloucester road tube.
Holiday Inn near Gloucester road tube.
Those last two not walkable (or that cheap - nice tho), but get a tube or bus, to west kensington station and it's walkable from there. Don't stop at earls court and try to change.
Any premier inn has a good bed.

I stayed at the Copthorn Tara Hotel (which is now a Millennimum Hotel) just off High St. Kensington the other week when I was in London, very good rates and used superbreak for it via Quidco so got 8% cashback so did well with it for a 4 star, was a nice easy walk to Olympia (I did it last year on the hunt for something during the show) so nice and easy stay and its just off the high street and behind the tube station so can recommend that one

I was told by someone that lives down that way that the Holiday Inn near Gloucester Road Tube has beds that the springs are "well tested" was what he said and something about not always the quietest night sleep if you get my drift.

You could always rent an appartment from someone like Think Apartments that is an option as well

Ooh actually didn't realise it was the same hotel he just said Holiday Inn by Gloucester Road didn't twig it was the former EG Hotel, and eer no having to deal with a certain drunken EG member wasn't what he was hinting at @vikpaw. What he was hinting at isn't for repeat on Edugeek....
