BETT 2013 - Obligatory "what are you looking for" thread
I know that there are some threads dotted about but I thought they could be merged into this one or people could respond directly in to here.
Personally I am looking at things like AppShed and folk who are truly tying in curriculum development with the use of mobile tech. I will be using SAMR as a way of assessing they have a clue about whether they are selling shiny stuff or something that will make a difference.

So much I guess, but for me.....
Network Management and deployment - We use CSE but I want to look at alternatives, eg. Burconix.
General Hardware - Usual round of hardware updates this summer, and get my hands on some tablets, etc.
Apple Mac stuff - 6th Form is in planning now, and I've hearing mutterings about wanting Mac stuff so need to get a bit more gen'd up so I don't just appear negative.
And anybody that wants to talk to me! Planning for a trip on Wednesday.

You need some one to go round all the other stalls in a brown cloak, with an Edugeek Pen Drive clipped to their belt saying:
It's known as the Edugeek Mind Trick..
These Are not the stalls you are looking for. You want the Edugeek/Smoothwall stalls

Never heard of SAMR - quick search on net = that looks like a good model to assess the shiny stuff V something that will be of benefit.

I'm pretty much going to look at everything.
Smoothwall, Aspen and EduGeek are day 1 visits.
Any software/support-type companies are going to be asked about Linux compatability. [It's still an option... and after dealing with licencing issues all day, it's slightly in the lead.]

Tablets and management software (and curriculum software)
Adobe Creative Suite (or alternatives) with the hope of forcing upgrade pricing from Macromedia MX04
I'll be the one with a headteacher on a lead (he's the one after Tablets and other Shiny things - I'm the one after the infrastructure to support)

You won't be the only one closely supervising other members of their school staff

Content. VLE content. At least that's what I've been told to look for. Not that I'll be much use for that, as I'm technical and not educational staff... The head is going anyway so he can look at that.
Me, I'll be nosing at:
1. Hybrid tablets! Really want to look and play with some of the Windows 8 Pro Hybrid Tablets that are all announced.
Our head is going separately to me though, my boss is coming with me - but she's just there for freebies.

Quite a list this year i think.....
Casio – Lampless projectors
Micro-Librarian – Migration of Eclipse to a virtual server
Smart Technologies – New Software, new technology?
Administration of Ipad’s/Imacs
Adobe – Changes to licensing structure in April? Costs? Upgrade options?
Plus trying to get as many mugs as I can :-) (other freebies are accepted, but for me mugs are the holy grail at BETT)

Personally big one for us is what devices we're going for next year with our 1-1 laptop setup. Now everyones pretty much ditched netbooks as a format we're looking at something to move to that isn't going to cost the earth. So visits planned to lots of companies selling laptops.
