Its never to early to book rooms for BETT. Hotels for miles are full an booking a year in advance is not unusual.

We do get a discount for booking room through the organisers and so at least some of us will have cheap rooms.
I do know that certain companies actually reserve their rooms on the friday morning for the following year .. and they guess the number of rooms needed based on how they felt this year went.
Then again, there are also companies that do it all in november and december ... including 2 large companies that do all their planning in a big get-together in the bit between christmas and new year. Before that they have just got rooms booked, a generic stand, bland marketting but no idea what to do with it!

Ok I did not want to start a new thread but I see there is a lot of talk on here and in some of the other fourms I visit so i was going to ask a Couple of questions. On the event coverage link the register part is still linked to last years bett when you can now register for bett 2008. same as book an appointment dosent work. Also things like schedule and map I know I am a bit ahead of myself and tell me to shut up if you like or if you want a hand with bett 2008 as i am only part time i can start to get things together (links programme map ect) just a thought also is it possable to change the thread to bett or start a new one bett 2008 (I know shut up go away) just a thought thats all.

We will be looking at archiving a few sections of the site shortly and previous events is one of those areas.
When we this we will get things setup and ready for BETT 2008.
All offers of help deeply appreciated and once I have dragged a body or two down to London for the Exhibitors' Day we will start to get more things planned.
I can tell people now that there will be improved facilities on the stand, more information about other exhibitors, some white papers, hard copies of some 'how-to' guides and even a chance to get some merchandising.
For the rest ... you'll just have to wait and see.

@bishopsgarthstockton - the education IT trade show at Olympia - a very useful day out for me... a bit of a journey for you, but still worth it.
Start negotiating with SMT now!

www.bettshow.co.uk
The leading educational technology tradeshow in Europe that runs for 4 days in early January (usually clashing with MacWorld) where you can see everything from 'the latest big thing', innovations, seminars & briefings, a range of suppliers (hardware, software and consultants) and much, much more ...
Oh yeah ... some strange bunch from the 'Net run a stand called the Technical Information Point.
