I've just been doing a bit of eBay surfing and have discovered something a bit unnerving. If you go to eBay.co.uk and search for 'mp3 players' then select 'mp3 players' from the catagories list and arrange by price (high-low) take a look at some of the prices being charged for bog standard iPods! I expected to see one or two mis-typed listings (always worth a giggle) but to see dozens of iPods for sale at between £400-£800, someone must be delierately overpricing these in the hope some poor soul is going to order from them! What makes it worse is that several are selling these as used items and are UK based. All are serious about their pricing btw.

11th December 2011, 01:23 AM #2 its like spam - if you can get a small percentage of people saying yes/I'll buy one - then it works!
You should try selling a years subscription to edugeek and see how many take you up

I like apple stuff but not that much !!!
Also I know storage prices have gone up but not by that much - and definitely not for flash based storage devices i.e. SSD / iPod Touch / iPhones etc
Might be some iPods that use a normal HDD but even so , still not worth that much !!!

11th December 2011, 07:44 PM #5 I was actually following up a conversation with friends I had in Friday night about how valuble old technology (which we have alll inevtably had thrown away at some point in the past) can be pointing out a search I did on eBay for ghetto blasters not long back. I was then told to check out the price that some old Walkmen fetch, and from there I thought I'd check to see how valuble some 1st gen mp3 players are and it revealed those massively price inflated iPods.
