I always thought I would never publicly criticise any company but these have now gone too far.
I had 3 projector installations timetabled for installation on the first day of the summer holidays. All installations still remain unfinished as the engineers that come on site were unable to solder the cables to the face plate - the excuse was the guy that usually did that job left to join promeathean. I was promised they would be back in 3 weeks to finish the work. I am still waiting for them to return. Teachers only have so much patience and now its me getting it - I can understand where there coming from.
They have the money for the installations already as it was money that was left from last years budget so had to be spent before April. They just dont seem to be in any hurry to come backon no matter how many phone calls etc they are unable to give me a date when they will return. I can get another company to finish the installs but it would mean further expense.
One thing I do know is that I will not be using them again for any work, and will be telling all local Network Managers to avoid them as much as possible.

Paying up front puts you in a bad position, to be avoided at all costs.
Sympathies!

We haven't got any! They were supposed to be in the last week of the holidays and still no sign.

These guys keep ringing me up so I just tell them I have no money and am happy with my current suppliers anyway. They insist on calling back in a couple of months and I go through it again.
Maybe next time they ring I will mention this incident and they might give up... well I can wish

Sounds like they are popular... thanks for the added amunition guys. Dont worry I wont name drop but the more evidence I have that they are not the most co-operative of companies the better.

By the way was it the IT Support Centre that were due to do your installations? I guess they wont travel up just do finish our faceplates so will do them when they are in the area to do your installations. Any ideas of a date if it is them?

They were here Monday and finished all jobs. I think they had just taking on more work then they could manage. As has been said a lot of people have had positive experiences with the company, and up to this time so had I.
I am sure once the mass backlog of jobs have been sorted, they will once again be a decent company to work with.

Re: The IT Support Centre
We are still waiting for our installation of 8 IWBs - should have been started on the 21st August!!! THe projectors and boards have turned up but no one to install them. Even the headteacher has had it out with them but no progress so far. We haven't payed them a penny yet, so we will certainly be asking for compensation before they get payed.
They have installed boards for us in the past (consistently cheaper than anyone else) and they have been fairly punctual, so something has gone horribly wrong this time.
Great company for buying PCs but if you want them to install anything, then it's time to re-think.
