We have plenty of Epson projectors here and I've had a very positive experience with them. The lamps have a 3 year warranty when the projectors are used in economode.

The 1st issue you mentioned was that the driver found another com port (internal or bt) that it tried to connect to. We then defaulted it to com 1 so if you do the same it should be ok.

As for the usb hid device (I can do this with my eyes closed)
there will be a driver released by the end of the month that will be
1. Signed by M$
2. MSI deployable.

I will post when ready.

If I've got a bulb blown in a XE-31 projector that was only installed in september who do I speak to to get a replacement yourselves or sanyo?

Just adding ive noticed a fair few manufacturers offer long warrenties on bulbs. One that springs to mind is SOny with a 3yr bulb warrenty.

I have had Epson projectors, and can only report positive results, good kit, good support from Epson.
