God knows, I hate RM as much as the next 'person who knows ANYTHING about IT', but every time I've called up about SuccessMaker, I've had some of the best support ever; Quick, intelligent and accurate responses.

Interesting point about SuccessMaker (sorry if it's wrong forum), one of the apps grabs the file association for .WSF which scuppers VB script files created in WSF format! AFAIK they have yet to fix it.

Thing to remember with Success Maker though is that it's a North American product that RM re-badge IIRC last time I had a Success Maker query I found the answer on the Canadian site!

For me sins I still know people who work at RM and know schools that are in bed with RM so if anyone needs a hand etc give me a buzz

The best thing to come out of RM is the ASUS laptop thing.

I am unsure of why anyone would want RM CC unless ofcourse you have idiots running your network as lets be honest a 5 year old could use that software. I prefer to have some control over what i am doing without the need for a bulky client.

Agree. Can't understand the people who've bought into CC3. I also prefer control over what I'm doing. Also, doesn't really help your career choices as it's strictly an edu product. An edu product for lazy. clueless admins.

We've bought from RM but only non-RM products. Apple, Real, ASUS Eee. I use them as a reseller of products i'm interested in not as a solutions provider. And wouldn't touch their own products with a bargepole.

I think it's a bit unfair to say it's the fault of admins who let CC3 into their schools. I know of several where the IT Guys were overruled by the Heads despite making lots of noise and the schools ended up with CC3 because their advice was not listened to.

Matt, Torledo I find your comments about Network Managers and Technicians who run CC3 networks very derogatory and insulting. I'm sure Russdev will feel the same.

Thanks, I do so enjoy being called stupid because I manage an RM CC3 network

I think you'll find it does take a small degree of intelligence to run an RM network.
People may not like RM networks (and that's perfectly acceptable - everyone has their own opinions), but they are in use in many schools whether you like it or not.

So please keep your small minded narrow opinions to yourselves and don't doubt the intelligence of your fellow techies! angry9:

Wouldn't of thought a hundred odd poster would be living under a bridge but that is all I can think of.

This has been gone over again and again and you may as well say any one using Windows servers are lazy as 'Nix is the only true way, or we should only use Mac stuff as anything else is obviously for clueless people as they can't work out windows is rubbish, etc etc.
