Default Potential problem with Toshiba!

I bought some Toshiba laptops from Misco on the 5th Oct. They had a £50 cashback but it is necessary to send the original invoice to claim it and because of the postal strike, we have only just received it. So Panasonic is saying the claim is no longer valid. I've not heard back from Misco yet but we stand to lose £400.

we used another company for our laptops and asked them to email us a acopy of the invoice, we then sent the forms to claim the toshiba cashback by recorded delivery. I think they should offer you a gesture of good will! as i am sure just like us the cash back incentive helped in deciding where to buy the laptops from

Don't get me wrong, Misco tend to be my preferred supplier now. It's not their fault, just hope they can fix it for me. At least it's not 195 lots of £50 cashback!!!

Indeed!

I'm sure they'll be able to sort it out.

How long ago did you pay?

*Disclaimer, im not sure if this is just personal consumer law or whether it applies to public sector*

If its within a "reasonable time" just have a word with misco and ask if they'll get on the case for you. If they wont, obviously be tackful about this, just say you'll be sending them back under the Long Distance Sellers Act.

I had an issue with some cashback offer for a few hundred quid from an HP Prolient CPU deal when I bought a server from Misco. HP were'nt happy with my paperwork. I contacted my dude at Misco (The awsome alex) and he sorted the whole lot for me and I just sat back and waited for the cheque.

I'm sure Misco will try their best to help out with the supplier as they probably value the business and so do toshiba

Well, Toshiba offered to meet us half way. To be honest I couldn't be bothered with the hassle and agreed but Stuart at Misco continued to fight our case and it looks like we will get the full £50. Most suppliers would have given in so full marks to Misco.
