I must admit when I joined the school I too was sceptical about NS Optimum. However, the school allready used them so I went with it and have been pleasantly surprised. Some of the older kit in the school runs a bit slowly and have had to return a few PC's but am really impressed with the servers and the new laptops appear to be good thus far.

I've been off work for various reasons for a few months and left my other techie in charge. was expecting to go back to a whole stack of sh*t to deal with but the storm i expected never materialized.

saying that, it annoys me when they call with nothing to say.

anyway, good to be back. Did you miss me : )

Gaahhh - thread resurected 'cos I'm being spammed by a relentless collection of new NS optimum email. Clearly their 'unsubscribe' policy is crap.

My schools just filled up one room with them, and got a lot of teachers their laptops. And for some strange reason decided to put XP on the desktops, and VB on the laptops, but leave the Vista Business licenses on the desktops.

what's strange with putting XP on the desktops? I thought most people would want that.

After telling this 'company' never to harrass us again and threatening them with legal action the muppets have started emailing us again. Gah.

yep same here, they are currently sending out emails to no less than 40 staff at my place.

I have placed them on our internal blacklist and also on a number of public blacklists as for spamming.

I have lost count the number of times I have requested we be taken of the list I mean we have never contacted them nor even bought anything from them.

I hereby call upon all members who do use these guys to boycott them untill further notice.

Yes I am PEEVED !!!!!

Is there an award for the 'Pushiest Most Irritating Annoying IT Supplier'? They can have it if there is.
