In one of our Science labs I installed a computer last year which is connected to the network wirelessly and has worked pretty well so far. As with all things that work well, the teacher now want's to build on that and connect it to the projector. The problem being the desk is in the middle of the room and the only safe way of cabling it really is to drilll a hole in the floor then run it up the wall as they (understandably) don't want cables running along the floor.
So, I was wondering if anyone has used or can reommend a wireless projector server or some kind of Wireless VGA transmitter that would do the job. :)
Hi i have used lindy wireless projector servers before, these are the best ive used also it seemed to transmit audio and video very well, quite pricey but i recommend them
bt business direct
cables 2 go device will do fine
BT Business Direct - CablesToGo TruLink Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit (81657)
Its wireless usb, so wirless internet will still work on the laptop
I would definitely go for wireless USB rather than using the built in WiFi - as recommended by p-dave. We have a box which connects the projector and LAN to the wireless for a tablet PC, to be honest it's pup. No more than 1024x768 res, poor video, awful software and pretty expensive for what it is.
Thanks guys, found I can get a nice discount on the Cables To Go ones too which is nice.
Have you used it P-Dave? Otherwise might take a punt on the Maplins one. :)
