VIPRE Enterprise AV
Hey I wanted to know if any of you guys have used VIPRE before. I got a 2003 Server and about 12 user clients and I was thinking about going with VIPRE Enterprise. I was using their trail version on my laptop and it looks to work great. I can run a full scan and barely see any harm to the pcs speed while it multi task. I have always used Norton but always had Adaware on it to catch all that Norton didn't catch, which trust me it’s a lot. With VIPRE so far I have no need for Adaware. Let me know if you guys have any feedback on this AV.
Thanks

Over the past few years, I've switched from:
- Sophos (one 'fix' was stop scanning the system32 directory - wtf!)
- Symantec (too client intensive but good reporting/deployment)
- Kaspersky (light client use - not so good for reporting)
- VIPRE (light client use - picks up more than Kaspersky did, reporting so-so)
Quite happy with it so far. It even has tools to remove previous A/V solutions when it installs. We had a dozen machines from 350 that didnt automatically remove Kaspesky and install correctly. A good result IMO.

We are looking at the possibility of incorporating vipre into Smoothie - anyone who has any opinion on this should let me know - and what we have seen so far looks good.
Will be talking to the guys at Sunbelt (VIPRE's parents!) at Infosec later this month.
BTW.. anyone who wants to come to infosec (Earl's court 28th-30th april) just drop me a PM and I will arrange ticket etc.
