TeachSmart Tap IT Interface
Ok, so I've been asked to look into the TeachSmart Tap IT device (Touch Accessible Platform for Interactive Technology).
My first impressions "I can think of better things to spend £8000 on" but I wanted to find out if anyone out there has any experience of these devices. The reasoning being that this particular school has a range of learning difficulties from mild learning difficulties through to full time care. They want to make sure they have devices in school that are suitable for all. We already have a Panasonic Touch Screen that is height adjustable, and a few SMART Boards which are the same, but it seems that the benefit of this TAP IT device is that it will go a lot lower that the other devices, is tilt-able and also has the ability to recognise touch vs learning on the device etc.
Anywho, if anyone has had any experience, I'd be eager to hear, positive and negative, about it.
The website I have (that I'm struggling to get in school) is www.teachsmart.org/tapit, but I have also found TAPit is the first interactive learning station designed to be accessible to all students.
