PRTG can create pretty nice status displays not free but fairly priced.
we know what to display its just how we bring the sophos console, and other data into a wall of screens without having a pc on every screen.
dual head cards will do to certain extent but tricky when many screens needed.
A projector. I know of a large datacentre which has the node monitoring projected on a wall so the staff can what is what. It's all driven by a single PC.
Quad head cards should be available, and there are a number of USB->VGA type jobbies about which may be another option.

Why not have it rotating on one or two screens. You may find it will burn an image if you are not careful.
Nephillim will be along shortly to flog you his quad card I'm sure.

AMD cards are the best for this, just get a motherboard with enough PCI-E x16 slots and you can stuff it full of 5450s, which are ~£20 a pop and will certainly drive at least two screens, if not three.
Normally cheaper than a single card driving six displays as that inevitably involves lots of miniDP adaptors and convertors to hook up the monitors you have, or spending on expensive DisplayPort monitors.
We use a standard PC with a dual graphics card and cycle the information screens. Only have to wait a few seconds for the required one to appear on one screen or the other.
