Eiki Projector - Scrolling Filters

Hi

Has anyone had experience with EIKI projectors, we have a LC-XL100 in an assembley hall which has scrolling filters. We have only had it for a few months and it already needs the filters cartridge changing. Although it states that these can not be rewound, does anyone know if they could be? and should they be replaced after only 35 hours of use? We think they keep scrolling when is is powered off. If not this projector is going to cost a lot in new filters as it will require a new filter every half term.

35 hours is about 6 days use in one of our classrooms (projector mad, they are).

Unless you're a school with a really bad dandruff outbreak or other airborne particles, I think there's a problem or design flaw with your:
