    Hi @Kingstech. Yes the extended warranty DOES include the ED-A111 (we got one swapped out just last week) but ONLY if the problem is with the mirror door failing. If the projector is over 3 years old, logging a call on the Equinox website will not work. You will first need to email tech.assist@hitachi-eu.com with your serial number. Hitachi can tell the approximate age of the unit from this, and if they consider to be less than five years old, they will inform Equinox. You will then be able to log a call on the Equinox portal.

    Warranty check has failed, probable because its out of the normal warranty. I Think i might email them and see what they say. I know this thread is for the ED-A100 and not the ED-A111.

    I have emailed Hitachi, but was wondering if anyone knew of any instructions on how to change over the mirror motor?

    The part I bought had some basic but useful tips when re-fitting with it (see my previous post in thread). A look at the service manual for ED A-100 helped with disassembly.

    @Kingstech - Did you get yours sorted, or was it beyond the help even of the 5 year warranty?

    Thanks for your help guys. Hitachi came in yesterday and swapped out the faulty projector with a replacement.
