    XIBO - RSS Ticker failing

I've got an Xibo system setup with an RSS Tickertape region at the top of the screen which works while I'm in the school but has failed everytime I come back to the school

The other region contains my customised Google Calendar webpage and that runs 24/7 fine.

Anyone else had this sort of problem?

    Si

We have xibo set up here. We have the same issue as well. I have not tried this yet but in theory it should work without a hitch. You could create a webpage that you host internally, with a java based ticker and then use a PHP script to download and manipulate a RSS file. Give me a shout if you want a copy of the code I created.

    Hope this helps

    a) what's the length in seconds of the content, is it dying when it reloads?
    b) proxy? is it getting new content when it starts up?

I've added 2 copies of the same feed (as I'd heard of other issues with it not updating)

I've got the content length set to 30 secs - it all works fine while I'm there and dies sometime when I'm not

The feed is from the schools own externally hosted website through a proxy which is enabled.

    regards

    Simon
PS I've enabled a BBC news feed in another region so I'll see if the've both died next time I'm in (Thurs)
