Has anyone come across a solution for basic video editing within a browser, that is hosted locally, and works on Citrix?
(As basic as Windows Movie Maker)
I've played around with Kaltura and JayCut, both products haven't really worked as I'd hoped.
I know I'm asking a lot. But it must have been done somewhere.

Yes:
Movie Masher: Free Open Source Online Video Editor
We had a test install working over plain RDP this time last year, although that was at my last school and I haven't done any more with it since then.

I couldn't find a way of uploading media, or adding media to the application in order to edit it. Also it seemed a bit clunky... but I may be using this as a last resort!

Curses. I did see a very nice-looking commercial system at BETT a couple of years ago, although I can't remember its name or what it cost.

22nd July 2011, 04:16 PM #5 I managed to get JayCut working perfectly on our system over the last few days, however I've just received an email from their CEO stating that they are no longer taking on new customers, and may not even continue offering JayCut video editor.
Any other suggestions? There must be a big market for this kind of thing

Hi Tom,
I am on the lookout for a similar solution myself - I found WeVideo a few days ago - the free option has limitations, but it looks like they are looking at educational possibilities, so things might change there.
Can't put the link in yet - but Google wevideo and it will be the first in the list.
Cheers
Maz
