PowerDirector 8 and creating disc error

Hi
using PD8 and updated to latest version. I can burn discs\dvds using Nero etc...

When in PD8 with any video clip and I click on Create Disc, it starts to load (opening create disc page), gets to 62% and comes up with an error message - "IDS_INITATP_WAIT_WNDREADY" nad a messge box stating "Movie Production - File Loading Error.

I click on ok it gets to 63% then hangs and needs to close.

I guess it's finding some sort of problem with my dvd burner from the ids message but what I do not know - any help would be great.


Now it just hangs also when adding in .flv's and needs to close.
