    Hi,
We have around 30 fish eye Xe40's that are slowly failing. Is the PLC-WL2500 a suitable replacement? is this much different from the new Promethean PRM-30's, or just a rebadge???
    Thanks

Yes it fitted with Minor Adjustment and a New plate - although we purchased the projector and mount for about 650 then just took the plate off the new mount and fitted it to the old mount.

It looks just like a rebadge from the pictures but you can never be 1000% sure.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
All of ours are connected to ActivBoard 1's, where were you able to get the new plate/mount from??

Can you let us know what plate to use/where to get them?

We have some failed XE40's and looking for an alternative projector - like the PLC-WL2500

I just ordered a mount with one and then took the plate from that.

If you go for the Sanyo DWL2500 this is a widescreen version that will also do 4:3 ratio to match your current interactive board. The widescreen capability will give yu a little future proofing also. The other great thing about the Sanyo is that it is 3D ready so if you do go down that route again you have the projector to cope with 3D.

    Hope this helps.

Are there any other projectors out there that people suggest? I had the WL2500 last time but i don't like it much.

    What do people suggest?

RA mounts make an adapter for the
Promethean v1 which will take the Casio led short throw, combined price about 1250 thought!!! You can get refurbished xe40's (cleaned optics etc) for about 275

Do you have a link to the mount?

I don't want any more Xe40's they are useless

Yes the XJ-ST145 is perfect, expensive but should last years without ever buying a lamp. The mount is ra product code RA-XJ-ST/XJH/PM/V2 for the v1 (scaffold ole type)

Are you xe40's dead or has the thermal switch
Just tripped? Takes 15 mins to fix a trip!

They are not dead but are 4 years old and we don't like them But are replacing all projectors when the bulb goes. These are the only ones we don't have replacemtents for. I've replace about 30 others with XJ-A/M130

I'd go with Casio as you have invested
    In them with the others

Can you provide a direct link to this mount and projector please. It may be of use to me.
