    If you want free, I would say ashampoo burning studio or better get the paid verison for more features (can't remember if the free one done bluray discs if thats what you want to do)

    What are you trying to do? Just burn tracks to a disk, or create movies then export to disk?

    For school exam DVDs, we use the built in DVD maker in Windows 7.

    dvd burning software

    Ive used DVDFlick a lot ... seems to cope with most formats and its free

    For basic burning files to disc we use this - The Official ImgBurn Website

    I doubt it would be suitable for you though.

    I've echo the comments above - DVD Decrypter for ISO.

    Format Factory is another good piece of software for CD and DVD as well.

    I use DVD Styler for creating DVD's from video files and then use CD Burner Xp to burn iso images.

    I tend to use DVDFlick for compiling DVD video.

    It handles pretty much every video format out there
