Thanks for the feedback, however I am still not entirely convinced. I have a flyer from another manufacturer which states their projector has a 3 year warranty including lamp. Upon purchasing it there was a bit of paper in the box that mentioned some hoops to jump through to get this warranty.

The AV Interactive website does mention a 5 year warranty, but they are not Casio

The casio pdf states a 3 year warranty, or 6,000 hours.

Please link me to a casio document

    Cheers
Here, it's a scan of the leaflet I picked up from the IDNS stand. I've converted it to PDF.

    Beware projector warranties

Toshiba decided to enter projector market and did a good deal on projector warranties for education - 3 years projector cover and all you can eat bulbs

However, now we are at the end of the 3 year deal, the supply of bulbs is very very slow and Toshiba don't make projectors anymore and can't source a replacement for a broken one that broke over 3 months ago and can't decide what to do

Just a bit of food for thought

    regards

    Simon

I have a quote for a Casio XJA130 for £595.00 which I didn't think was too bad. So probably gonna purchase one of these tomorrow for testing.

This is one of the reasons the casio models are so worth while as they have no bulb to replace!

The education warranty is DEFINITELY 5 years. The 3 year warranty is a bit confusing but as has been pointed out that is the non educational warranty.

    Sylv3r good luck with that.

Just a note for those asking about the composite video issue.

I have the main guys from Casio coming in to see me today and they are going to confirm with me what connection leads come with the unit however I believe it may be supplied with a phono audio and video composite to 3.5mj lead in the box.

I will confirm this and post later.

If anyone has any other questions for them ask now and I will make sure I put it to them.

Would be a strange product for a loss leader :| There's no follow up sale to it.

More to the point it is a product that is in very short supply and the people advertising at this price will more than likely have no access to the product for quite a while.

and it devalues the product within the market..something that most manufacturers don't want!

    Anything in particular?

I do know the wireless aspect is driven by a card in the side of the unit, but I will get as much detail as I can.
